Conscious Grieving Support Groups

Join Claire Bidwell Smith for weekly grief support gatherings tailored specifically to your loss. These are more than support groups — they’re places to learn, grow, and feel connected as you move through grief. Each week Claire or her colleagues will guide your group through a different topic as it relates to your loss. They will share knowledge and tools and hold space for you to share about your loss and connect with others who are grieving. Groups are specific to different types of loss, allowing for an intimate experience with others who can understand and relate to what you are going through.

Claire has walked her own path of grief and will be the first to tell you that the single most healing aspect of her grief journey has been connecting with others who understand her experience. Please consider joining us!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO GRIEVE CONSCIOUSLY?

Losing someone we love is something that happens to us but how we grieve is up to us. Grieving consciously means acknowledging all the ways your life has changed and leaning into the process of grieving. Acknowledging change and leaning into grief looks like seeking support and making space for your grief. And making space for grief means setting aside time to feel emotions, engage in rituals, and finding ways to honor the person you miss in all the ways this kind of support group will offer.

Support group facilitators have trained directly with Claire Bidwell Smith and offer support in Claire’s model of Conscious Grieving.

“I cannot imagine a better grief therapist than Claire Bidwell Smith. She has the ability to wrap her deep psychology background and understanding of frameworks for dealing with grief in an intimate and soft discussion that makes the client feel incredibly well supported. Perhaps as a result of her own losses, she becomes a partner in going through the process of grief with the person experiencing deep loss, and not just a medical professional. As a result, she has significantly advanced my ability to brave the storms of grief and even to see some of the beauty that it yields as well. I am forever indebted.” — Jaime, Los Angeles
