I’m actually pretty nervous about it. I’ve read at a couple of TNB events in Chicago before but this will be the first of many times that I’m going to be reading from my own book. I’m still deciding on which chapter to read from, and god knows what I’ll wear. I’m in that ghastly stage of getting a little thick around the middle but not looking at ALL pregnant yet. Just fat. I’m in the last days of any of my jeans fitting but definitely not qualified for full-on maternity stuff yet, so I basically just cry every time I have to find something cute to wear. It’s awesome. You should come out to the event just so you can see what I manage to cobble together from my closet.

In other fun news I found out yesterday that there is going to be an audio version of my book and that I get to record it myself! That may not be all that surprising to you but it’s actually quite uncommon for an author to record their own audio book. (Even actress Mindy Kaling of The Office didn’t get to read for her new memoir.) Needless to say, I’m going to be spending a week in a recording studio New York early next year. I have no doubt that it’s going to be hard work but I couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
