Two Out of Three

Greg and I went out last night to the Hoyt's opening downtown at Hotel 71. I wore a cute dress and we sipped cocktails and gazed out the window at the city skyline. Sometimes I forget how to be just me and Greg, but sometimes I remember, and it's perfect.

I don’t know why – and I suppose it has more to do with my lack of imagination than anything else – but there is something Plathesque about you. You don’t really look like her – Sylvia Plath, that is – and from reading your blog I can’t really see that there is anything remotely reminiscent of her tragic destiny in your life or writing. But, then again, this is perhaps something people tell you all the time?

Ha…no one has ever told me that. Well actually, when I was in college my roommate said that we were like Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton, except that she was Sylvia because she was more depressed and I was Anne because I was more glamorous.
Sylia Plath was one of my first true literary loves though.

You look like two people who aren’t even thinking about whether the babysitter has found the Jack Daniels bottle in the tool cabinet on the back porch. Very nice!
