Going Home

We head back this morning, one of the last times I'll go home to Chicago. This has really been the nicest vacation, mostly because it was really just that — an honest vacation. We didn't try to see anything or learn anything new about a place. Rather we rested and relaxed and floated in the pool for hours and hours.

We went for one last walk on the beach last night at sunset, and it was one of those perfect evenings. A storm had just passed and the air was this amazing temperature; it felt like warm silk. We all walked on the beach, picking up shells and listening to the waves. I wanted that moment to last forever.

  2. Oh no girl, now you’re making this gypsy miss Florida and we just moved from there to LA, LOL!! Sigh. I wish we had the ability to be anywhere we wanted at the click of our heels! I’m glad you guys had a nice, relaxing vacation. :)
