Have you noticed that I haven't blogged in a couple of days? I have! And that's because this little two-day break was a really nice respite following NaBloWriMo in which I posted EVERY day of November.
I can't believe I actually pulled it off, but I did. I don't think I've ever blogged as much as that. For the most part it was great. I really enjoyed being here so much. But there were definitely a couple of times when it really felt like a chore. I also think some of my posts suffered a bit for it. It's nice to have a couple of days to come up with a quality post, rather than just dashing something off because I have to. Anyway, you should be proud of me.
Last night my friend Ashley came over and we sat around the coffee table in the living room with a fire going, making holiday crafts. We cut out snowflakes and made long, twirly things and today I'm going to have to convince bribe Greg to hang them for me.
Ashley is getting married next year and so we talked a lot about wedding stuff, which is always fun. We ended up watching that wedding dance video that went viral last year and we both totally cried. I don't know why but that thing gets me EVERY time. And then we watched my friend George's amazing proposal to Sara, which ALSO gets me every time. More crying.
Greg came home from watching the oh-so-sad Cavs game, in the middle of our tearful youtube fun and told us to watch our own wedding dance, which then somehow led to us watching the below video. It's one I hadn't seen in a long time, and I was immediately floored by how young and pretty I look in it, compared to the haggard mom I feel like today.
Anyway, I thought I'd share it with you since it's such a cute video. This was taken on our 5th-ever date. Greg came out to California and I took him up to wine country. We were pretty tipsy and sitting outside at my favorite vineyard in Los Olivos. In the video Greg has made me think that I'm posing for a photo, but really he's taking a video the whole time. (Warning to my mother-in-law: there might be a swear word at the end.)
